"It’s the economy, stupid"

That now-famous line from former President Clinton’s 1992 campaign against former President Bush has shown up again recently because of rising prices and a highly-charged presidential campaign (also featuring a Clinton trying to follow a Bush), among other things.

John Lott has written an excellent article detailing the facts of our current economic situation. Regardless of your political leaning, you should read what he has to say. According to his by-line, “John Lott is the author of Freedomnomics and a senior research scientist at the University of Maryland.”

The facts laid out in this article provide a great example of the truth of 2 Timothy 2:15 where Paul wrote:

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

In the same way that politicians sometimes get a bad rap because people throw around “facts” and don’t really know what they’re talking about, people who misuse (and misquote) the Bible have given Christians and God a bad name many times over.

Read the article and get the truth about our economy.

Read the Bible and get the truth about life.
