Biblical Cussing

Dr. Dan Wallace from Dallas Seminary wrote a great post on Paul’s use of four-letter words in the Bible.

You can read his post here (he calls it Pauline Scatology).

This is one of the reasons it is so important to learn to read the Bible in the languages in which it was written (mainly Hebrew for the Old Testament and Greek for the New).  God chose those languages because they are precise, and they make the points that needed to be made.  Every English translation misses something, somewhere along the way.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.  2 Timothy 2:15

What are you doing to make sure you are accurate with God’s Word?
